Job summary

Dorman is seeking an on-site Mechanical Engineer at its corporate headquarters in Colmar, PA (suburban Philadelphia). The role collaborates with product, supply chain, and quality teams to develop automotive components and ensure design integrity from concept to production.

Weekly onsite presence is required with Friday offsite options. The candidate will leverage SolidWorks, GD&T and manufacturing know-how to drive successful launches, with opportunities for growth, a competitive base salary,

Qualifications

BS in mechanical engineering with 3+ years of experience; or Associate degree with 5+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

Develop automotive components ensuring compatibility with original equipment and industry standard specifications.
Reverse engineer or improve designs using 3D scanning, CMM data, benchmarking and material analysis.
Determine project documentation and validation requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
Create, review and revise engineering drawings and installation/inspection instructions.
Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure product launches.
