Job summary

Amsted Automotive is seeking Press Operators for the Shelby Twp, MI facility to run and set up line dies in stamping presses during the third shift. You will be responsible for the smooth operation of equipment, quality checks, and SAP labeling while supporting Lean initiatives.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 months of press experience, familiarity with control panels, and a working knowledge of quality standards such as IATF16949 and ISO 14001.

Qualifications

• Requires at least three months of knowledge of press and feeder operations.
• Familiarity with control panels and basic manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate stamping presses to meet production goals.
• Visually inspect parts and report quality issues to supervisors.
• Perform quality checks and use fixtures to ensure high-quality parts.
• Ensure containers have proper part, lot and operation tags including SAP labeling.
• Maintain 5S standards and keep work areas clean and safe.
• Complete daily production reports and downtime boards.
• Adapt Lean Manufacturing principles and participate in waste-elimination meetings.
