Job summary

TransForm Automotive Shelby Twp is seeking CNC Operators across all shifts to support production operations. Responsibilities include operating CNC centers, setting up fixtures, and ensuring part quality.

Applicants should have proficient CNC knowledge, tool setting, and the ability to perform routine quality checks. A Lean manufacturing mindset and basic computer skills are required for daily reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2 years of automotive manufacturing experience.
• Experience operating CNC machinery and setting up tooling.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machining centers on assigned shift.
• Set machine controls and fixtures per program.
• Repair tooling and troubleshoot machines within the cell area.
• Check first piece, adjust tools to maintain dimensions and quality.
• Complete production reports and quality paperwork daily.
• Perform quality checks as specified by Quality control.
• Report defects to Team Leader or Supervision.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Amsted Automotive's TransForm Automotive Shelby Twp division, is seekingCNC Operators on all three shifts who will be responsible for supporting the production operations of the plant.

Shifts:

Days - 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

Afternoons - 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm + 15 % shift premium

Midnights: 11:00 pm - 7:00 am + 15% shift premium

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Primary Function Summary

• Adapt and promote Lean Manufacturing principles
• Active participant in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings
• Support the Company’s Goals and Objectives
• Operate machinery in various CNC machining centers
• Set machine controls according to program and installs fixtures
• Responsible for set-up, repairing tooling and troubleshoot machines in their cell area
• Make preliminary check on first piece, adjusts tools to maintain proper dimensions and part quality overall
• Complete and update all paperwork on a daily basis (production reports, PPLH, TAKT, scrap reports, etc.)
• Manually position and remove tools as prescribed
• Perform quality checks on production as specified by Quality control
• Reporting any quality defects to Team Leader or Supervision

WHAT YOU\'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Working CNC knowledge to include troubleshooting, and adjusting robot positions using teach pendant
• Computer Skills
• Workplace Machinery (SAP hand held scanners, calculators, printers, and calipers)
• Working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria
