Job summary

Amsted Automotive's TransForm Automotive Shelby Twp division, is seeking experienced Tool & Die Makers for the 2nd Shift (3pm - 11pm+15% shift premium) who will be responsible for supporting production operation setup and efficiencies by keeping tools and dies optimized. Midnights: 11:00 pm - 7:00 am +15% shift premium.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain dies, operate tool room equipment, and assist with press setup to boost efficiency while following safety and Lean manufacturing

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in Metal Stamping, Prototype, Tool and Die Build or Die Repair Technician.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in GD&T interpretation and precision measurement.
• Experience with IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and optimize dies in press lines.
• Operate tool room equipment with precision.
• Support press setup and efficiency to meet posted targets.
• Adhere to safety procedures and protocols.
• Use root cause analysis to promote efficiency and quality.
• Maintain product quality to print specifications; overtime may be required.
• Lean manufacturing support using 5S and Kaizen processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
