Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI, is seeking a Product Development Engineer to calibrate power supply system components for gas engines, EVs and Hybrids. You will develop calibration in the powertrain control module (low voltage) including alternator control torque, engine idle stability, and diagnostics, and release it into Ford software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in Product Development, preferably in calibration.
• Experience calibrating electrical control systems in the automotive industry.
• Experience gathering CAN/LIN data using Vector tools and CANalyzer/CANoe.
• Knowledge of CAN/CAN-FD AUTOSAR and cybersecurity concepts.
• Familiar with CAPL scripting and Matlab modeling.

Responsibilities

• Development of calibration for alternator control torque, engine idle stability, CAN set points, and diagnostics.
• Release calibration into Ford system software.
• Support powertrain development trips for engine calibration.
