Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI is seeking a Product Development Engineer to calibrate the power supply system in the powertrain control module for gas engines, EVs, and hybrids. You will develop calibration for alternator control torque manager, engine idle stability during electrical transients, and voltage set points, then release the calibration into Ford software.

The role requires carbon leadership in calibration, testing with CAN/LIN, and using ATI Vision, INCA, CANalyzer, CANoe, CAPL,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or related field
• 3+ years in product development, preferably calibration
• Calibrations in automotive electrical control systems using ATI Vision and INCA
• CAN/LIN data collection with Vector CANalyzer and Intrepid tools
• CAN/CAN-FD AUTOSAR knowledge
• Familiar with CANalyzer and CANoe tool for testing and CAPL scripting
• Familiar with MATLAB modeling, code generation, debugging and model testing

Responsibilities

• Develop calibration for alternator control torque manager and engine idle stability
• Release calibration into Ford system software
• Support powertrain development trips for engine calibration
