Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking senior calibration engineers for the Vehicle Propulsion Systems Engineering group. You will blend hands-on calibration with process leadership, delivering robust powertrain calibrations across gasoline, diesel, hybrid, and electric platforms.

You will work within VPSE to optimize controls, develop feature plans, and ensure milestones are met using HIL/SIL, data analytics, and automated methods. Hybrid onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• Powertrain, vehicle systems, embedded controls, calibration, testing, data analysis experience.
• Knowledge of control systems and data-based decision making.
• Ability to plan and execute technical work and meet program timing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Own calibration work from planning through development, validation, documentation, and signoff.
• Develop and optimize calibrations for performance, drivability, fuel economy, and emissions.
• Maintain workplans, DVP&Rs, test requests, data reviews, and signoff evidence.
• Calibrate using vehicles, dynamometers, HIL/SIL, simulation, and analytics.
• Analyze test and field data to identify root causes and improve quality.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and deliver on time.
• Apply scripting, automation, and CI to speed up development and improve quality.
