Job summary

ExcelliSearch, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Plant General Manager to lead a major automotive manufacturing operation in Kentucky. The role requires proven plant leadership, a track record of improving quality, cost, delivery, and safety, and strong expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and customer-focused programs.

The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvements, establish KPIs, manage budgets, and own the plant's P&L while delivering sustainable performance for key automotive customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Proven experience leading a complex manufacturing plant or major manufacturing operation.
• Measurable improvements in quality, cost, delivery, safety, productivity, and profitability.
• Working knowledge of automotive quality and launch methodologies (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans).
• Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement expertise.
• Experience with automotive launches and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for plant operations including production, quality, engineering, maintenance, safety, delivery, and cost.
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company objectives and customer requirements.
• Ensure plant meets quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and customer satisfaction targets.
• Maintain accountability for ISO standards and customer quality systems.
• Drive a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and standard work initiatives.
• Analyze processes and plant metrics to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Establish KPIs and management systems to monitor performance.
• Manage the plant's annual operating plan, budget, forecasts, and financials.
• Ensure monthly/annual P&L responsibility including cost control and productivity.
• Lead new product launches and respond to customer quality issues.
• Ensure safety policies and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and retain high-performing teams.
