Job summary

Management Performance Associates seeks a Plant General Manager to lead a major automotive manufacturing operation in Lexington, KY. You will drive production, quality, safety, delivery, and cost performance, delivering sustainable improvements and ensuring customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on leadership with a track record of turning around complex plants, applying Lean, Six Sigma, APQP/PPAP, and strong financial management to achieve top‑line growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience leading a complex manufacturing plant or major operation.
• Proven track record improving quality, cost, delivery, safety, productivity.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans.
• Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement expertise.
• Experience with automotive launches and customer requirements.
• Strong plant-level financial management and P&L responsibility.
• Proven leadership and people development.
• Ability to deliver sustainable improvements under high accountability.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for plant operations across production, quality, engineering, maintenance, materials, safety, delivery and cost.
• Develop and execute operational strategies to meet objectives.
• Ensure plant meets quality, delivery, productivity, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Maintain compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements.
• Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Lead lean initiatives and problem-solving to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Monitor KPIs and manage annual operating plan and financial performance.
• Lead new product launches and automotive programs.
• Foster a safe working environment and respond to emergencies.
• Develop and retain high-performing teams.
