Job summary

Ed Morse Automotive Group is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our team. The role will manage payroll for two dealerships, ensure accurate withholdings and deductions, and maintain compliance with city, state, and federal laws.

You will coordinate onboarding/offboarding and maintain I-9 files while supporting leaves and worker compensation reporting. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of payroll experience, preferably in the automotive sector, with strong Excel skills and professional

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of prior payroll experience preferred.
• Automotive HR and Payroll experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for two dealerships weekly and reconcile payrolls.
• Handle withholdings, deductions, and wage garnishments.
• Escalate payroll issues and stay compliant with laws.
• Onboard and offboard team members and maintain I-9 files.
• Coordinate leaves of absence with onsite leadership.
• Report worker compensation information to the insurer.
