The ideal candidate will have automotive payroll experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with payroll systems and 10-key data entry.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in automotive accounting; payroll experience is a plus.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks, organize work effectively, and consistently meet payroll deadlines.
• Computer literate with accurate typing and 10-key skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling payroll records, calculations, deductions, and employee information.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to handle employee payroll questions professionally and discreetly.

Responsibilities

• Accurately calculates and processes bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for multiple dealerships.
• Updates master payroll records affecting wages and deductions, including federal and state exemptions, insurance coverage, pay increases, available PTO, employee transfers, benefit changes, and 401(k) elections.
• Processes garnishments and maintains accurate wage withholding records.
• Researches and resolves payroll discrepancies and errors in a timely manner.
• Coordinates closely with Human Resources and Accounting on payroll matters and issues affecting both departments.
