Job summary

Ed Morse Automotive Group in Dallas seeks a Payroll Clerk to join our team across multiple dealerships. You will process weekly payrolls, maintain files, handle withholdings, and ensure compliance with city, state, and federal laws.

You'll work closely with the Corporate Payroll Manager, manage onboarding and offboarding, maintain I-9s, and support leave administration while delivering accurate, timely payroll services.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of payroll experience preferred.
• Automotive Human Resource and Payroll experience preferred.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Experience with ADP, Workforce Now and CDK preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and adapt to change.
• Proficient knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for two dealerships.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile the dealership's weekly payrolls.
• Process withholdings, deductions, wage garnishments, or other payroll actions.
• Ensure payroll issues are escalated and resolved.
• Maintain knowledge of city, state, and federal payroll laws.
• Plan and prioritize tasks and deadlines.
• Work with Corporate Payroll Manager on escalations.
• Onboard and offboard team members.
• Maintain team member files including I-9s.
• Manage leaves of absence and coordinate with leadership.
• Report Worker Compensation injuries to the insurer.
