Napleton Automotive Group seeks an experienced Automotive Parts Manager for our Beaver Dam CDJR store. You will lead the parts department, drive productivity, and manage purchasing, inventory, pricing, and merchandising to ensure profits and customer satisfaction.

Hires and develops staff, oversees budgeting, and coordinates with Service and Body Shop managers to ensure timely parts turnarounds while maintaining strong wholesale activity and customer loyalty.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years related experience and/or training in automotive parts departments.
• Technical automotive knowledge required.
• Experience leading a team and working with staff in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Forecasts goals and objectives for the department.
• Hires, trains, motivates, counsels and monitors performance of staff.
• Prepares and administers annual operating budget for the parts department.
• Establishes pricing parameters to generate gross profit while maintaining loyalty.
• Sets inventory levels and turnover targets.
• Monitors inventory to minimize obsolescence.
• Assists in collecting past due accounts.
• Directs outside parts and counter sales efforts.
• Ensure proper tagging of all parts.
• Supervise stock order procedures.
• Collaborate with Service Manager and Body Shop Manager for timely parts turnaround.
• Develops guidelines for customer interactions to maximize satisfaction.
• Take control of busy wholesale operation.

Summary

Napleton Automotive Group is looking for an experienced and motivated automotive Automotive Parts Manager for our Beaver Dam CDJR store who can drive productivity through effective and valued-centered leadership. This individual should strive to return a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested in parts inventory. They should work to accomplish objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying and advertising. Essential Duties

• Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.
• Hires, trains, motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of all parts department staff.
• Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the parts department.
• Establishes pricing parameters in each customer category that generate sufficient gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
• Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover.
• Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence.
• Assists in the collection of past due accounts.
• Directs outside parts and counter sales efforts.
• Guarantee all parts are properly tagged.
• Supervise stock order procedures.
• Work closely with Service Manager and Body Shop Manager to ensure timely turnaround of parts needed.
• Develop and enforce guidelines for working with customer to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
• Assume control of our busy wholesale operation.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Technical automotive knowledge.
• Team leader and motivator.
• Computer literacy.
