Job summary

Big Star Dodge, a Ken Garff Automotive Dealership, is hiring a Parts Front Counter Sales Associate to deliver friendly service, process parts orders, and support inventory accuracy in a fast-paced setting.

You will handle customer inquiries, upsell branded parts, tag items, and coordinate with the Sales Manager to ensure timely availability of accessories, while upholding our values of respect, teamwork, and honesty.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an automotive parts department preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information whether electronic or paper-based.
• Deals creatively and logically with problems while showing empathy for customers.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have the ability to move about the parts department and have computer skills.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the role (lift over 50lbs).
• Valid in-state driver's license and good driving record per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer complaints are handled tactfully, promptly and according to guidelines; deals with complaints stemming from parts issues.
• Encourage the sale of branded parts.
• Schedule regular efforts to improve the efficiency of customer/Parts Department interactions and transactions.
• Establish processes to ensure accuracy between inventory and computer records.
• Refresh accessory displays and coordinate with Sales Manager to ensure an accessory vehicle is available.
• Monitor workflow in the parts department and intervene to ensure timely completion and technician needs are met.
• Make warranty and billing adjustments.
• Monitor backorders daily ensuring deliveries are shipped and received quickly.
• Ensure dealership purchases are properly accounted for before payment is made and parts are tagged for full credit from the factory.
• Assist in collecting on overdue accounts.
• Notify all special-order customers upon arrival of parts.
