Job summary

Big Star Dodge, a Ken Garff Automotive Dealership, part of the Ken Garff Automotive Group, is seeking a Parts Front Counter Sales Associate to deliver friendly, efficient service. You will support the parts department and assist customers with parts selections and basic inquiries.

Ideal candidates have automotive parts experience, strong computer skills, and a willingness to learn. A valid in-state driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in an automotive parts department preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information.
• Empathetic, customer-focused problem solving.
• Must have computer skills and be able to lift moderate weights.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer complaints are handled tactfully and promptly.
• Encourage sale of branded parts.
• Improve efficiency of customer/Parts Department interactions.
• Establish processes to ensure inventory accuracy with records.
• Refresh displays and coordinate with Sales Manager for accessory vehicles.
• Monitor workflow in parts department to meet deadlines.
• Make warranty and billing adjustments.
• Monitor backorders and ensure timely deliveries.
• Ensure dealership purchases are properly accounted for before payment.
• Tag parts to ensure full credit from factory.
• Assist in collecting on overdue accounts.
• Notify special-order customers upon arrival of parts.
