Job summary

Ken Garff Automotive Group is seeking a Parts Front Counter Sales Associate at Big Star Honda to handle customer concerns and drive parts sales. You will manage inventory accuracy, stock displays, and ensure efficient interactions between customers and the Parts Department.

The role requires 2+ years in an automotive parts department (preferred), strong reading/comprehension skills, empathy for customers, a high school diploma, computer literacy, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an automotive parts department preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information (electronic or paper).
• Demonstrates empathy for customers while solving problems.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have computer skills and be able to move about the parts department.
• Must have a valid in-state driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer complaints tactfully and promptly per guidelines.
• Encourage the sale of branded parts.
• Improve efficiency of customer/Parts Department interactions.
• Maintain inventory accuracy between physical stock and computer records.
• Refresh accessory displays and coordinate availability with Sales Manager.
• Monitor department workflow to ensure timely work and technician needs.
• Process warranty and billing adjustments.
• Track backorders and ensure timely deliveries.
• Ensure dealership purchases are properly accounted before payment.
• Tag parts properly to recover full credit from the factory.
• Assist in collecting on overdue accounts.
• Notify special-order customers when parts arrive.
