Job summary

Rydell Chevrolet in Waterloo, IA is seeking an Automotive Parts Counter Salesperson to join our Parts Department. The role involves helping retail, wholesale, and internal service customers find the right parts and working closely with service staff.

We offer base pay plus commission, training, and opportunities to grow within the dealership. A strong drive to deliver excellent customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Automotive parts knowledge or experience preferred.
• Previous parts counter, auto parts store, dealership, retail sales, automotive service, or customer service experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable using computers and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist retail, wholesale, and internal customers with automotive parts sales.
• Identify and locate OEM and aftermarket automotive parts.
• Research part numbers, pricing, availability, and vehicle applications.
• Provide parts quotes and process customer orders.
• Handle phone, in-person, and internal parts requests.
• Process invoices, special orders, returns, and parts transactions.
• Work with Service Advisors and Automotive Technicians to locate needed parts.
• Receive, stock, organize, and maintain parts inventory.
• Follow up with customers on orders and special-order parts.
• Build strong customer relationships and repeat business.
• Maintain accurate inventory and parts records.

Rydell Chevrolet is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Automotive Parts Counter Salesperson to join our Parts Department in Waterloo, Iowa.

If you have experience in automotive parts, parts counter sales, dealership parts, retail auto parts, automotive service, or customer service, we'd like to hear from you. Have automotive knowledge but limited dealership experience? We provide training and support to help the right person grow.

As an Automotive Parts Counter Salesperson, you'll help retail, wholesale, and internal service customers find the right parts while working closely with our Service Technicians and Advisors.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Automotive parts knowledge or experience preferred
• Previous parts counter, auto parts store, dealership, retail sales, automotive service, or customer service is a plus
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable using computers, electronic parts catalogs, and inventory systems
• Organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, positive, and team-oriented
• Willingness to learn and grow
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
