R&R Auto Group is seeking an Automotive Parts Counter Person to support the parts sales process and assist customers in a fast-paced, friendly environment.

You will read catalogs for parts, provide price quotes, and coordinate with staff to ensure accurate, timely orders. The role offers hourly pay plus commission, with medical/dental plans, PTO, and growth opportunities within a family-owned dealership.

Qualifications

• Experience with auto parts sales preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
• Communicate with customers on parts status.
• Interact with staff and customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Read parts catalogs for part lookups.
• Answer phone calls with price quotes and information.
• Review shop estimates to ensure correct parts and pricing.
• Provide high-level service to internal and external customers.
• Pull and fill orders from stock.
• Maintain weekly stock checks for accuracy.
• Notify parts manager of out-of-stock items.
• Locate out-of-stock parts from external sources when needed.
• Ensure internal part requests are billed on service orders.
• Receive payments or obtain credit authorization.
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pickup.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
• Communicate with customer on parts status
• Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Be able to read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts.
• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
• Reviews body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
• Provides high-level service to internal and external customers.
• Pulls and fills orders from stock
• Maintain weekly bin checks to ensure the accuracy of stock.
• Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Locates out-of-stock parts from an outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
• Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
• Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.
• Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to connect withcustomers (both retail and co-workers) about their parts questions in a professional and courteous manner. Accuracy is also key to our success
• Have experience with auto parts sales (preferred)
• Are able to work in a fast-paced work environment
• Have strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
