Job summary

BALISE AUTO SALES INC. is seeking a Parts Counter Associate to assist mechanics and customers with purchasing parts and supplies. You will track parts, handle payments, and ensure accurate billing through service and collision departments.

You will reference parts manuals to identify correct parts for each vehicle and provide high-quality customer service, including price quotes by phone. You may notify managers about backorders and incoming parts as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in the automotive Parts Field.
• Familiarity with vehicle products preferred.
• Tekion knowledge preferred.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Track all incoming and outgoing parts for the dealership.
• Handle parts payment collection and ensure proper billing through service and collision departments.
• Package and ship parts back to the manufacturer.
• Record keeping: tag parts with customer name and job number.
• Refer to parts manuals to identify correct parts by vehicle make, model and year.
• Provide high quality customer service and answer price quotes by phone.

Parts Counter AssociateThe Parts Counter Associate is responsible for assisting mechanics and customers with purchasing needs for parts and supplies.Job Description:Tracking all incoming and outgoing parts for dealershipHandling parts payment collection and making sure all parts are billed correctly through service department and collision repair.Packaging and shipping parts back to the manufacturerComplete appropriate record keeping; including tagging all parts with customer name and job number for easy referenceRefer to parts manual (hard copy & electronic format) to identify exactly the right parts for the make, model, and year of vehicles being serviced.Providing highest quality of customer serviceAnswer phone calls providing price quotes and other informationNotify Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts or materials that need immediate attentionNotify Service Advisor and/or Customer when specialty parts have been receivedNotify the Body Shops when all parts have been arrived and when they will be deliveredAssist in putting all order away in a timely mannerFollow up on backordered partsOther duties assigned by the Parts ManagerEnvironmental & Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear.While performing the duties of this job, the employee may incidentally be required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 50 poundsThis position may require up to 0-5% travelBenefits Include:Health, dental, life and disability insurance401(k) with company matchFlexible spending accountsPaid Time-OffSkills & Requirements:Experience in the automotive Parts FieldCustomer service and organization skillsFamiliarity with the vehicle products is preferred, but not requiredTekion Knowledge and Experience is preferred, but not required
