Courtesy Automotive Center is seeking a knowledgeable Parts Advisor in Chico, CA. You will assist customers and service teams by identifying the right parts, providing product information, and ensuring a smooth parts ordering process.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive parts or customer service preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive parts terminology and vehicle components.
• Ability to use parts catalogs and dealership management systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers, technicians, and service advisors in identifying and sourcing automotive parts and accessories.
• Respond to inquiries in person, by phone, and through other channels.
• Research parts using catalogs, electronic systems, and vehicle information to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare quotes, process orders, and manage special requests or backorders.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering, receiving, stocking, and organizing parts.
• Verify part numbers, pricing, and availability to minimize errors and delays.
• Coordinate with service departments, vendors, and suppliers to support efficient operations.
• Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, returns, and warranty-related documentation.
• Ensure the parts area is clean, organized, and compliant with procedures.
• Provide product recommendations and information to support customer needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to use parts catalogs, dealership management systems, or inventory software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and data entry
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills and confidence handling pricing, invoicing, and inventory counts
• Commitment to delivering a positive customer experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with OEM and aftermarket parts
• Experience supporting a service or repair department
• Knowledge of warranty and return processes
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members
