Job summary

Vern Eide is seeking an Automotive Parts Advisor to join our community‑minded team in Mitchell, SD. This full‑time position offers $18‑$20 per hour based on experience, with a strong benefits package and a supportive work environment.

You will assist customers and technicians in identifying and ordering the correct parts, maintain inventory, process orders, returns, and warranties, and build lasting relationships with customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in automotive parts or service (preferred).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license & clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screen.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Prior experience in automotive parts or service (preferred)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong computer skills (experience with dealership systems is a plus)
• A driven, customer-first attitude
• Proficient in inventory management, POS, and retail sales with strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience in inventory control, cash handling, and using a cash register.
• Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, negotiation, and vehicle maintenance is a plus.
• Must be 18 years or older
