Position Title: Automotive Painter

Location: St. Charles, MO

Schedule: 2nd Shift 1pm - 11:30pm (4 days/10 hours)

Position Summary: The Automotive Painter performs advanced prep and paint work on trailers, vehicles, and displays. Requires expertise in automotive painting, surface prep, and finishing, with a high degree of autonomy. The ideal candidate has a background in automotive or industrial painting, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.

This environment is dynamic, requiring adaptability and multitasking. Employees are expected to handle various tasks, learn continuously, and develop broad skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform surface prep, sanding, masking, priming, and bodywork repair
• Mix and apply paints, primers, and topcoats to specifications
• Operate spray guns and painting equipment
• Inspect finishes and correct imperfections
• Troubleshoot and improve painting processes
• Minimize waste and meet production timelines
• Work independently to meet project specifications
• Follow instructions from team leads and supervisors
• Communicate workplace ideas and solutions
• Unload and carry materials
• Manage inventory and organize materials
• Engage in ongoing technical training
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Document work and parts used
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2-6 years' experience in automotive or commercial painting or related education/certifications
• Knowledge of automotive body work
• Ability to read a tape measure
