2nd shift hours: 2:30pm-11pm. Includes a $3 shift differential

Wastequip has an opening for an Industrial Painter to support the Eagleville, TN location. This is a full-time position with great benefits including but not limited to Health Insurance, 401K Plan, Paid Vacation/Sick time, and more. The ideal candidate should be familiar with using an airless paint finishing system in a fast-paced production environment, where they will spray surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or work areas with protective/decorative materials such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer.

Responsibilities

• Cleans grease and dirt from products
• Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated
• Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surfaces
• Selects and mixes coating liquids to produce desired colors
• Pours coating liquid into spray containers and connects guns to air hoses
• Regulates spray width and pressure by turning sprayer valves and nozzles
• Applies prime or finish coats by spraying onto work surfaces
• Coats inaccessible areas with brushes
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent
• Heats and sprays wax onto products after testing
• Removes rust from metal using acids, wire brushes, or steel wool
• Uses grinders to remove scratches, laminated metal, and excess weld material
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience with Airless Paint Finishing Systems or similar equipment
• Experience painting metal surfaces, machinery, or manufactured products
• Experience with paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer
• Preferred experience in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to stand for most of the shift
