Job Title: Aircraft Painter C
Responsibilities
- Assist the Paint Department with prepping parts for paint, including sanding, masking, and general preparation of all program products requiring paint.
- Use and maintain precision measuring tools such as scales, micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.
- Operate and maintain customer-supplied tooling for executing precision work.
- Set up and operate spray guns to paint detail parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints and follow engineering plans.
- Accurately complete work orders and self-verification procedures.
- Support the Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Prevention Program.
- Provide backup support for assembly work to meet production targets.
- Complete required training to maintain job efficiency.
- Adhere to housekeeping, quality, FOD, and safety procedures.
- Support other sites as required and perform tasks assigned by site leadership.
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma/GED with 7+ years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Knowledge of geometric tolerances.
- Proficiency in computer and technology use.
- Must be a US Person.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing and related paperwork.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, including ASME Y 14.5 M standards.
- Technical schooling related to aviation/aerospace painting.
- Experience with aviation/aerospace industry procedures.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work 2nd shift after initial training on 1st shift.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with proper PPE.
- Ability to lift, stand, stoop, crawl, bend, crouch, climb, and kneel as per Boeing regulations.
- Support extended hours as needed.
- Work onsite in Bridgeport, WV.
