Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Packaging / Container Design Engineer to design, improve, and implement automotive packaging solutions that optimize material flow across the manufacturing process. You will evaluate racks, containers, and sequencing systems to boost pack density, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in automotive packaging, container design, rack design, or material handling engineering.
• Experience designing returnable containers, sequence racks, repack racks, or other racking systems in automotive environments.
• Strong understanding of pack density optimization to maximize parts per container and reduce costs.
• Experience implementing racking systems on the plant floor with safety and ergonomic reviews.
• Ability to analyze material flow and develop CI solutions for packaging and container systems.
• Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience.
• Experience supporting JIT or JIS operations.
• CAD experience with AutoCAD, CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, or similar.
• Knowledge of ergonomics, safety requirements, and material handling systems.
• Experience leading packaging or container improvement projects in manufacturing.
