Magna Seating in the United States seeks a results-driven Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, drive continuous improvement, and lead teams to optimize production efficiency. The role requires strong leadership, data-driven decision making, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced automotive environment.

You will oversee production activities, budgets, and quality targets while ensuring compliance with TS 16949 and APQP/PDP processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years in production/engineering management in automotive manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the assigned business unit, including production activities and budgets.
  • Supervise shift staff and coordinate day-to-day activities for efficient throughput.
  • Drive production efficiency, first-pass yields and key performance indicators.
  • Ensure launch activities are tracked, measured and completed on time.
  • Participate in APQP and PDP events and complete required tasks.
  • Maintain compliance with the Quality System standards (TS 16949).
  • Ensure adherence to standardized work, rotations, and cross-training.
