Job summary

Magna Seating in Kentucky seeks an experienced Quality Engineering leader to drive quality across the plant and support the organization in meeting customer requirements.

You will lead the Quality team, oversee testing activities (EOL, H-Point, BSR, appearance), and ensure data integrity with fast-response processes for internal and external concerns. This role partners with operations and suppliers to drive CAPAs and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years in a quality field or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role with direct staff responsibility.
• Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Quality team through daily work assignments, project management, training, and performance feedback.
• Oversee EOL, H-Point, BSR, and appearance testing to ensure customer requirements.
• Manage measurement system accuracy via MSA activities, calibration programs, and traceability with corrective actions.
• Maintain data integrity and resolve quality issues with accurate records and traceability (VOC).
• Drive the plant quality operating system using Paynter charts, quality mapping, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain quality systems including CTQ maps, NOACs, audits, Poka-Yoke verification, LPAs, Control Plans, PFMEAs.
• Analyze quality performance using metrics, warranty data, supplier performance, and cost of quality to meet KOI.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, customers, and suppliers to drive CAPAs (8D, A3, RCA) and improve quality.
