Job summary

Aperia Technologies, Inc is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to act as the primary technical liaison between manufacturing and OEM customers. You will investigate concerns, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement to meet customer quality requirements.

You will lead 8D investigations, APQP/PPAP submissions, PFMEA/Control Plans, and monitor key quality metrics while collaborating with quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in automotive quality engineering or Tier-1 environment.
• Strong knowledge of automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
• Detailed understanding of IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 quality systems.
• Experience navigating OEM customer portals.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for OEM customer quality tasks; engage with portals, lead reviews with data.
• Lead 8D investigations and corrective actions within the factory for customer issues using 5-Why, Ishikawa diagrams, etc.
• Participate in APQP and coordinate PPAP submissions to customers.
• Participate in PFMEA and Control Plans for new/existing products.
• Monitor and report customer-specific quality metrics (PPM defects, disruptions).
• Support continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to deliver high-quality products.
• Author and execute CARs/SCARs as required to resolve quality issues.
• Statistically analyze data using Excel, Minitab to generate quality reports.
• Create working documents for quality tasks and train the quality & manufacturing team.
• Lead implementation of IATF 16949 into the QMS.
• Participate in special projects supporting quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams.
