Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Communications Systems Architect for the Automotive Systems and Solutions Technology Team.

You will define a technology roadmap for automotive networking products, prototype networking functions with FPGA teams, and lead design of protocols for audio, video and data transport. You will model in-vehicle networks, assess QoS and clock recovery, and contribute to standards bodies while collaborating across geographically distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS in Electrical, Communications or Computer Engineering; MS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Ethernet and related protocols, comm stacks and standards.
• Knowledge of switch architectures and traffic shaping techniques.
• Experience with network modeling tools (OMNeT++ or similar).
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink or similar system modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and tech teams to define roadmaps for automotive networking products.
• Work with FPGA designers to prototype networking functions/products.
• Lead design of new protocols for audio, video and data transport.
• Model performance of in-vehicle networks, incl. QoS and clock recovery.
• Contribute to standards development organizations.
