Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a senior automotive architect to lead next‑generation reference architectures and evaluation platforms for SDV, zonal architectures, and high‑speed networking. You will drive customer engagements and produce technical collateral for global teams.

You will showcase solutions at conferences and customer workshops, while collaborating with product units to guide roadmaps and investments in next‑gen automotive platforms.

Qualifications

• Extensive embedded systems and automotive experience.
• Deep knowledge of SoCs, microcontrollers, firmware, middleware, and apps in C/C++.
• Experience on bare‑metal and RTOS/Linux platforms.
• Strong hardware design understanding and debugging skills.
• Ability to architect complex automotive E/E systems and networks.
• Familiarity with Automotive Ethernet, PCIe, CAN/CAN‑FD, high‑speed interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead creation of next‑gen automotive reference architectures and proof‑of‑concept platforms.
• Develop demonstrators for industry events, conferences, and customer workshops.
• Define evaluation platforms for Automotive Ethernet and high‑speed interfaces.
• Drive customer engagements from concept to production with technical leadership.
• Create technical collateral: white papers, guides, reference implementations, notes.
• Represent Microchip’s automotive portfolio at events and forums.
• Collaborate with product units to influence roadmaps and investments.
• Provide feedback on hardware, software, tools, and documentation.
• Establish partnerships with OEMs and software partners to strengthen position.
