Job Description

Automotive Mechanic/Technician

The pay range for this position is between $18.00 and $40.00 per hour, based on experience and credentials.

As an Automotive Technician at Monro, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining guest vehicles. You will start with comprehensive training covering all aspects of your role, preparing you for advancement. You will perform repair services, work as part of a team to deliver 5-star guest experiences, and ensure our guests' vehicles are safe and reliable.

Responsibilities

1. Perform brakes, suspension, tire installation, scheduled maintenance, and other automotive repairs within your qualifications.
2. Obtain guest approval for work based on diagnosis; maintain a clean work area.
3. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and perform necessary repairs and maintenance.
4. Test drive guest vehicles and safely use shop trucks for inventory pickup.
5. Collaborate with teammates and provide leadership to General Service Technicians.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive technician experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Own basic automotive tools or participate in the tool purchase program
• Ability to work with hands overhead, stand long hours, lift 50 lbs.
• Guest and team-focused mindset
• Maintain Automotive Technician State Inspector’s license, if applicable

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE certification in A1-A8
• Automotive Technician State Inspector License
• Technical school certificate or degree
