Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking an Automotive Mechanic in Chandler, AZ to inspect, diagnose, and repair tire and automotive services while ensuring an outstanding customer experience. You will explain technical issues to customers and coworkers and continually learn new techniques to stay current.

The role includes mentoring peers, maintaining a clean, safe shop, and adhering to all safety policies. Availability for varied shifts is required in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months automotive repair experience.
• Section 609 Certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, cooling, and electrical systems.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and coworkers.
• Maintain organized, safe, and clean shop.
• Mentor and train junior technicians.
• Work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
