Job summary
Auto Plus in El Paso, Texas seeks an Automotive Mechanic to professionally inspect, diagnose, and repair tire and automotive services while delivering excellent customer experiences. You will explain repairs, mentor teammates, and keep systems up-to-date with the latest automotive technology in a safety-conscious shop.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 6 months of repair experience, and a valid driver's license with a background check.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 6 months automotive repair experience.
- Section 609 Certification preferred.
- State Inspection license if applicable.
- Valid driver's license and clean background check.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair to specifications — brake and hydraulic, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling system, suspension and alignment, and maintenance services.
- Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and co-workers.
- Mentor and train co-workers; maintain a clean, safe shop.
- Stay updated with evolving automotive technology through formal training.
