Job summary

Auto Plus in Peoria, AZ is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an excellent customer experience. You will explain diagnoses and required repairs to customers and co-workers, stay updated with evolving automotive technology, and mentor teammates; maintain a clean, safe work area.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months of repair experience, State Inspection license if applicable, and Section 609

Qualifications

• 6 months of automotive mechanical problem-solving and repair experience.
• Section 609 Certification preferred.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver's license.
• Pre-employment background check.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications: brakes, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling system, suspension and alignment.
• Perform duties of a General Service Technician.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanics as needed.
• Continuously learn new technical information in trainings to stay current.
• Assist fellow technicians in performing technical activities.
• Keep management aware of repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized, neat shop.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety and environmental rules.
