Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to professionally inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering excellent customer experience. You will explain technical diagnoses and repairs, stay updated with automotive tech, and mentor coworkers.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED and valid driver's license. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing brakes, exhaust, electrical, cooling systems, suspension, and alignment, while maintaining a safe shop and

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
6 months automotive repair experience.
Section 609 Certification preferred.
State Inspection license if applicable.
Valid driver's license.
Pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair to specifications for brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment.
Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and coworkers as needed.
Maintain organized, safe, and clean work area.
Mentor and train fellow workers as required.
Assist technicians in performing technical activities.
Notify management of repair issues as they arise.
