Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of experience in automotive repair.
• Possess a Class B driver’s license with P & S endorsements.
• Note: degree must be from an accredited college/university.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled repairs on gasoline and diesel motor equipment, including vehicle and small engine repair.
• Run computerized diagnostic tests and compare results to specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and tune-ups.
• Inspect and repair brake systems, transmissions, and steering components.
• May supervise an Automotive Mechanic Helper and drive a school bus when required.
