Job Title: Automotive Mechanic at Lenco Industries, Inc.

Job Summary: Assemble armored vehicles, ensuring the functionality of all components and systems. Carry out electrical and mechanical assembly of components on manufactured armored vehicles, and oversee the vehicle through final inspection for customer delivery.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Run electrical wiring using in-house built and prebuilt wiring harnesses.
2. Install all interior and exterior lighting following work orders and Lenco standards.
3. Install exterior electronics such as thermal cameras, 360 camera systems, sirens, etc.
4. Install exterior components such as ballistic glass, bumpers, hitches, roof turrets, gun ports, winches, etc.
5. Install interior components such as seats, cabinets, benches, carpets, etc.
6. Perform suspension component installation and adjustments as necessary.
7. Install and service HVAC systems, both OEM and aftermarket.
8. Adhere to and carry out existing work practices, procedures, and policies.
9. Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines.
10. Understand and comply with safety and environmental policies.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Interaction:

Work with other teams on the shop floor to ensure trucks are built on schedule.

Experience & Education:

• At least 3+ years in the automotive industry working on mechanical and electrical systems.
• High school diploma required.
• Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is a plus.

Certifications & Qualifications:

• ASE certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Knowledgeable in air conditioning, suspension, and other mechanical systems.
• Ability to follow procedures, read blueprints, and work independently.
• Proficient in using hand tools and measurement tools.
• Strong commitment to health and safety guidelines.
• Basic math, attention to detail, communication skills, problem-solving, and a positive attitude.

Physical Demands & Safety:

Must pass physical exam, lift at least 70 lbs, and work in various physical positions. Comply with all safety, health, and environmental requirements.
