Responsibilities

• Materials Manager prepares instructions regarding purchasing system and procedures.
• Directs the preparation of and issuance of purchase orders and change notices.
• Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine material availability and prepares market reports.
• Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to policy.
• Arranges for disposal of surplus materials.
• Develops systems for purchasing, production scheduling, inventory control and logistics.
• Develops supplier requirements to improve timeliness of parts and materials delivery.
• Maintains visual inventory management on the production floor.
• Ensures on-time delivery to support uninterrupted production.
