Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking an experienced Materials Manager for our Bloomington, IL operation. The role ensures on-time shipment of finished goods, manages inventory, and coordinates raw material procurement to support continuous production.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Recent experience in an Automotive Manufacturing plant.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
Ability to effectively communicate to a diverse audience (customers, suppliers, employees).
Results oriented approach.
Broad based supply chain management and process development knowledge.
Strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills.
PC software skills and ERP knowledge.
Ability to prioritize competing demands.

Responsibilities

Oversee purchasing, distributing raw materials, and inventory control for automotive plant.
Direct preparation of purchase orders and change notices.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
Develop and implement systems for purchasing, scheduling, and traffic.
Maintain Bill of Materials and related data in manufacturing software.
Ensure uninterrupted production and on-time shipment of finished goods.
