Job summary

Ed Napleton Automotive Group in Urbana, IL is seeking an experienced Automotive Master Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to dealer and factory standards at Napleton Toyota of Urbana.

The Master Technician will build customer trust through accurate diagnostics, efficient repairs, and clear communication, with opportunities for incentive-based pay and career advancement within a large automotive group.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Master Technician.
• Ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is process-driven.
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals as required.
• Continuously update technical skills through formal training sessions.
• Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized and neat service bay

Job Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Adequate explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers as required.
• Continuously update technical skills and techniques in formal training sessions to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
