Job summary

Volkswagen of Sanford is seeking a skilled Automotive Master Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles to factory standards in a busy, climate-controlled shop. This role offers a sign-on bonus and opportunities to work with multiple OEMs for top-tier hours and advancement.

The Master Technician will be responsible for accurate vehicle diagnosis, repairs, and maintaining an organized service bay, while continually updating skills through paid training and certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Master Technician.
• Master Level Certification.
• Self-starter and process-driven.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications – brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals, as required.
• Continuously update technical skills through formal training sessions to stay current with automotive technology.
• Inform store management of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized and neat service bay.

Job Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Adequate explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers as required.
• Continuously update technical skills and techniques in formal training sessions to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
• Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintains an organized and neat service bay

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Master Technician required.
• Must have proven track record
• Master Level Certification
• Ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is process-driven
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
