Job summary

PACCAR Engine Company in Columbus, Mississippi is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement new and existing manufacturing processes for engine assembly and testing. The role emphasizes process optimization, FMEA, and tool/equipment readiness to support high-volume production.

The position requires a BS in Engineering and 1–2 years of automotive manufacturing experience, with Lean/Six Sigma familiarity.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or similar).
• 1-2 years Automotive Manufacturing Experience.
• Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma tools experience desired.
• M.S. Engineering or MBA and Black Belt Certified desired.

Responsibilities

• Develops new and improved manufacturing processes and documents process definitions.
• Establishes process FMEAs and control plans to stabilize engine-related processes.
• Specifies and procures tools and equipment for flexible manufacturing.
• Maintains equipment project books and ISO-compliant standards.
• Supports commissioning and new product launches with process changes.
