Job summary

PACCAR's Columbus, Mississippi engine facility seeks a Control Engineer to design, implement, and troubleshoot electrical and automation systems across robotics, CNCs, and manufacturing lines. You will manage bids, contractor coordination, and ensure safety compliance while delivering projects on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes PLC/CNC programming, HMI development, and collaboration with IT and manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement and ISO-aligned documentation

Qualifications

• BSEE or equivalent technical degree.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements modifications to existing electrical system including robotics, automation equipment and CNC machines.
• Solicits bids, selects contractors, and coordinates activities with internal departments.
• Ensures projects are completed within budget and on schedule, ensuring vendors follow all PACCAR safety requirements.
• Coordinates and supervises major maintenance, emergency repairs, and corrective actions on equipment and facilities.
• Maintains necessary records and documentation, preparing management reports as necessary.
• Implement and maintain computerized PLC and CNC.
• Continuous improvement with IT and process monitoring systems.
• Follow plant standards for filing and maintaining documentation per ISO standards.
