Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking an Automotive Manufacturing Engineer in Grand Rapids, MI to join a leading automotive manufacturing organization. You will support production through troubleshooting, process improvement, and equipment optimization on established lines.

The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, PFMEA, and cross-functional collaboration to drive efficiency and process maturation. This position is an indefinite contract with potential extension based on performance, located in Grand Rapids.

Qualifications

3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
Proficiency with CAD software, especially SolidWorks.
Experience with lean manufacturing and process optimization.
Knowledge of welding, general assembly, and production systems.

Responsibilities

Lead troubleshooting and continuous improvement on manufacturing lines.
Assist in design and layout of plant processes and equipment for efficiency.
Lead activities related to launching new business and process maturation.
Participate in PFMEA and other quality initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to apply lean principles and optimize workflows.
