Job summary
The Judge Group is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer in Shelbyville, TN to support launch activities, process development, and continuous improvement in a Tier 1 automotive environment. You will develop routings and work instructions, support tooling and equipment sourcing, and drive ongoing efficiency improvements on the production floor.
Ideal candidates bring Tier 1 automotive supplier experience, high-volume manufacturing background, and launch-focused engineering skills.
Qualifications
- Experience in Tier 1 automotive supplier environments.
- Hands-on launch, process engineering, and floor support knowledge.
- Familiarity with APQP, PFMEA, lean tools and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Support new product launches and manufacturing process development.
- Create routings, work instructions, PFMEA and process documentation.
- Assist tooling/equipment sourcing and implementation.
- Lead continuous improvement to reduce scrap and downtime and improve efficiency.
- Provide day‑to‑day line support and troubleshooting.
- Conduct time studies and routing maintenance.
- Support equipment improvements and standardization.
- Coordinate with suppliers on tooling/equipment purchases.
- Support quality and process deviation documentation.
