Job summary

Sames Auto Group in Texas is seeking an entry-level Automotive Technician – Level C (Lube Technician) to support basic maintenance, oil changes, tire checks, and inspections while learning hands-on in a shop environment.

You will work with experienced techs to develop skills, follow safety guidelines, and help ensure quality service for customers. A valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and good English communication are required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position; prior automotive experience helpful but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent (or currently pursuing).
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance services, including oil and filter changes.
• Tire rotations and tire pressure checks.
• Fluid inspections and top-offs.
• Battery testing and replacement.
• Basic vehicle inspections.
• Assist higher-level technicians with vehicle preparation and shop tasks.
• Document completed work accurately in dealership systems.
• Follow safety guidelines and dealership procedures at all times.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

The Automotive Technician – Level C (Lube Technician) is an entry-level position responsible for basic vehicle maintenance and inspections. This role serves as the foundation for a technician career path and provides hands-on training while supporting shop efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance services, including:
• Oil and filter changes
• Tire rotations and tire pressure checks
• Fluid inspections and top-offs
• Battery testing and replacement
• Basic vehicle inspections
• Assist B- and A-Level Technicians with vehicle preparation and shop support tasks.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and report findings accurately.
• Learn proper use of tools, equipment, and service manuals.
• Follow safety guidelines and dealership procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Participate in training programs and skill development.
• Document completed work accurately in dealership systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS
