Position Summary

The Lead Technician role requires your technical expertise to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, along with leadership and mentoring skills to guide a team in delivering excellent customer care and satisfaction.

Pay Range: $22.23 - $45.97

Our technicians are paid a performance-based flat-rate, rewarding efficiency and skill. Rates vary by region based on productivity.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and repairs clearly to non-mechanical customers.
• Stay current with automotive technology through ongoing paid training.
• Assist and mentor other technicians.
• Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least five areas within the first two years, with company-paid testing fees and bonuses for passing exams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Skilled in brakes, alignment, steering, suspension, and general automotive maintenance.
• Current federal, state, and local certifications/licenses where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical individuals.
• Strong reading, writing, and math skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, engine repair, engine performance, automatic and manual transmissions, heating/AC systems.
• At least 3-5 years of automotive repair experience, demonstrated skills through certifications or vocational training.
• A.S.E. certifications in multiple areas, with specific preferences for brakes, steering, and suspension.
