Job summary

Eissmann-Group-Automotive is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to perform testing and incoming inspections ensuring automotive quality compliance. You will prepare samples, record results, and communicate deviations, while supporting product validation and supplier-related investigations.

Role requires an associate degree in a technical field and 1–3 years in a lab or quality environment within manufacturing.

Qualifications

Laboratory testing methods, measurement techniques, and inspection equipment.
Knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, and customer-specific requirements.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, test procedures, and quality standards.
Ability to document, analyze, and report laboratory and test results.
Knowledge of calibration, equipment verification, preventative maintenance, and measurement system requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform laboratory testing and evaluation of materials, components, and finished products according to procedures and specifications.
Carry out physical, mechanical, dimensional, and other applicable testing.
Prepare samples and specimens for testing per established methods.
Accurately record, analyze, and report test results.
Identify results outside specifications and inform appropriate personnel.
Support testing for product validation, new launches, engineering changes, and customer requirements.
Perform incoming inspection of raw materials and components per inspection plans and requirements.
Verify incoming materials meet dimensional, visual, functional, and quality criteria before production release.
Review supplier documents and maintain traceability of inspections.
Document inspection results and support supplier nonconforming material actions.
Verify products meet drawings and customer requirements for quality validation.
Assist with investigations, root-cause analysis, and PPAP/APQP activities.
Maintain documentation of samples, testing, and results.
Support customer or internal testing requests as needed.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and calibration routines.
Maintain accurate lab records and comply with quality procedures and audits.
Foster cross-functional collaboration to improve testing methods and processes.
