Eissmann Automotive is seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to lead the Quality team on the shop floor, ensuring products and processes meet internal and customer specifications and automotive standards.

You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Logistics to drive continuous improvement, reduce defects, and sustain customer satisfaction through effective containment, root-cause analysis, and CAPA execution.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of quality experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven supervisory, team lead, or leadership experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Experience with 8D, 5 Why, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Actions, PFMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Position Summary

Eissmann Automotive is seeking an experienced and results-driven Quality Supervisor to support our automotive manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for supervising day-to-day quality activities, ensuring products and manufacturing processes meet internal standards, customer-specific requirements, and applicable automotive quality standards.

The Quality Supervisor will provide hands-on leadership to the Quality team while partnering closely with Production, Engineering, Logistics, and other departments to drive continuous improvement, reduce defects, resolve quality concerns, and maintain customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and provide daily direction to Quality Technicians, Inspectors, and other assigned Quality personnel.
  • Ensure manufactured products meet customer specifications, drawings, quality standards, and internal requirements.
  • Monitor production quality and respond quickly to quality concerns, nonconforming material, defects, and customer issues.
  • Lead containment activities and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support root-cause investigations using quality problem-solving methodologies such as 5 Why, 8D, Fishbone, and other structured problem-solving tools.
  • Monitor quality performance and identify trends involving scrap, rework, defects, customer complaints, and internal nonconformances.
  • Work closely with Production and Engineering to identify opportunities for process and product improvement.
  • Support compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and applicable quality management systems.
  • Assist with internal, customer, and third-party audits and ensure corrective actions are completed within established timelines.
  • Support APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, PFMEA, work instructions, inspection standards, and other quality documentation as required.
  • Ensure proper inspection, measurement, documentation, and disposition of nonconforming products.
  • Communicate quality concerns and expectations effectively across departments and shifts.
  • Provide coaching, training, and development to Quality team members.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and documentation.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, safety, and customer-focused quality.
  • Support customer quality requirements for automotive OEM and Tier customers, including premium automotive manufacturers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on operational and business needs.
Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent automotive manufacturing experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of quality experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Previous supervisory, team lead, or leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Experience with 8D, 5 Why, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Actions, PFMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP.
  • Understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and respond to changing production and customer priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality-related reporting/documentation systems.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with employees, leadership, suppliers, and customers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive supplier.
  • Experience supporting major automotive OEM customers.
  • Experience with customer complaints, containment, corrective actions, and quality audits.
  • Knowledge of AIAG Core Tools and automotive quality systems.
  • ASQ or related quality certification is a plus.

This position operates primarily within an automotive manufacturing environment and requires regular interaction on the production floor. The Quality Supervisor must be able to work collaboratively across departments and support production and quality needs based on operational requirements.
