Job summary

Eissmann-Group-Automotive is seeking a Quality Lab Technician for the Day Shift to join a clean, temperature controlled environment. You will stop shipments or production when quality criteria are not met and schedule requalification tests per plans.

You will document results, maintain calibration and controlled records, and support quality activities on the production floor. A Certified Metrologist with 2–5 years of automotive lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Metrologist preferred.
• Minimum 2–5 years automotive experience as a Lab Technician.

Responsibilities

• Stop shipment or production if product or process doesn't meet requirements or Eissmann guidelines.
• Schedule and perform requalification tests per control plans; document results and communicate findings.
• Document test results for review by QAE/Engineer; maintain controlled documents and records.
• Maintain calibration system and ensure only approved laboratories are used; remove out-of-calibration equipment.
• Maintain Quality Sample Matrix and support Pareto quality reviews on the production floor.
• Assist in incoming inspection and conduct annual audits per plan.

Job description

We're growing and looking for a Quality Lab Technician to join our team on our Day Shift operation. Come join our team where you can work in a clean, temperature controlled environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Authority to stop shipment and stop production if the conformity of product requirements or Eissmann guidelines are not met.
• Schedule daily, weekly, and monthly product/part requalification tests as described in control plans (PLP) and/or customer test plans. Performs and documents all safety critical (Adhesion, Flammability, Environmental, etc) tests as required by customer and/or Eissmann testing schedule; communicate test results to all applicable personnel.
• Accurately document the results of the applicable qualification / requalification tests and have the records available for internal and external review; provide test results to applicable QAE and/or Engineer for their analysis and feedback.
• Maintain all controlled document files and completed test records as required by Eissmann Quality System.
• Perform studies MSA studies and properly document the results.
• Maintain calibration system within the laboratory and plant wide, make sure the use only approved Laboratories; contact appropriate personnel when equipment; gage and/or testing device is found out of calibration – remove device from service. Submit PR to Management for approval to calibrate out of service equipment in a timely manner to prevent any non-conforming condition within testing parameters and/or production process.
• Maintain Quality Sample Matrix (Boundary, Gage, Equipment, Master, and Mating Parts) throughout facility and update matrix when provided information from QAE of new samples are released.
• Walk the production floor and participate in Quality Pareto reviews as quality representative and provide support to Production in case of quality issues arise during the shift.
• Support the incoming inspection process in case of material is accumulated and received during the shift.
• Conduct product regular product audits per the annual audit plan.
• Assist in quality activities such as rework, inspection, certification and/or visit the customer sites as needed.
